ADULT FORMATION - JANUARY SUNDAYS
@ 9:15am in the Parish Library
Help take down and carefully store the holiday decorations.
Trinity Begins Alternate ServicesAddressing a desire to provide liturgies beyond the traditional Sunday morning, we will be offering a number of events this winter and spring. A monthly Evening Prayer service will be held on the 4th Sunday of each month (excluding March - Easter Day). We begin with a traditional Anglican Evensong on January 24. The Trinity Choir will present anthems and service settings by Sowerby and Bairstow. February and April will offer diverse services featuring jazz and folk music. The season will conclude with a Festival Evensong on Trinity Sunday, May 22.
Weekday services of Night Prayer with Taizé Chant are also being planned for the season of Lent – more details to come.
The 198th Annual Parish Meeting - February 14Rather than the usual last-Sunday-in-January spot, this year the Annual Meeting of Trinity Episcopal Church on Capitol Square will be held on Sunday, February 14, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in the undercroft following a combined liturgy beginning at 9:30 a.m.. All people active in the parish—and those new to our life together—are encouraged to attend.
Ministry Team leaders and Vestry Nominees - the deadline for all annual reports and candidate bios and pictures is Monday, January 25. Please email pre-edited and proofread reports to Kevin Wines. Please write bios in 3rd person.

THIS WEEK WE REMEMBER IN PRAYER:We remember all who work for peace around the world, and especially this day we pray for our nation and other international partners discerning war and peace and wisdom in this time of terror and violence. Remembering friends and family members related to this community, we pray for Specialist Hannah Stout, Petty Officer Kristy Sizemore, Cynthia Epler, Matt Schumann, Captain Scott Whaley, Gunnery Sergeant Robert A Griffith Jr., and all who serve our country.
For peace in a war torn world, especially in Syria; Iraq and Iran. As we prepare to celebrate the birth of our Savior Jesus Christ who was born to a refugee family in poverty long ago, may God give us renewed compassion and greater courage to offer hope and help to refugees and all in need.
We renew our commitments to serve the neediest and most easily forgotten in our midst and remember all who are homeless and hungry in our city today. We give thanks for the generous hospitality offered this afternoon at In The Garden, and pray for the Holy Spirit’s abundant grace in our fellowship.
We pray for all who are sick or suffering at this time – Carrie Stowers, Judy McKissick, Henry Webster, Lucia Benaquisto , Pauline Austin, Linda Burton, Ava Guglielmi, Jonie Johnson, Dick Oman, Dave Mozano, Jan Heston, Frances Bennekamper, Gayle Nash, Jayla Kennedy, Sharon Whaley, Hal Duryee, David and those in prison and others whom we name silently or aloud.
Birthdays: Karen Sellman, Jennifer Norris, Crystal Goodridge, John Johnson.
We remember John Redden’s grandmother, Wilma Kingery, who died last week in Ironton, Ohio.
