The Anglican Centre in Rome marks the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity, which is traditionally observed from the 18th to the 25th January - the octave of St. Peter and St. Paul.
THIS WEEK WE REMEMBER IN PRAYER:We pray for all who are sick or suffering at this time –Richard Hillis, Gary Dempsey, The Rev. Elizabeth Lilly, Sam Gibson, Ted Clark, Amelia Lewis, Jenny Treasure, Marjorie Dotson, Norma Fluhrer, Madeline Wohl, Pauline Austin, Patricia Caldwell, Debbie Smith, Elijah Todd, Michael McKinley, Bob Park and others whom we name silently or aloud.
We pray for Petty Officer Kristy Sizemore, Cynthia Epler, Jordan Sellman, Matt Schumann, Commander Scott Whaley, Gunnery Sergeant Robert A Griffith Jr., and all who serve our country.
We remember all who work for peace around the world, especially in Syria, Egypt, Israel and the Palestinian communities, and Afghanistan.
We renew our commitments to serve the poorest in our midst and remember all who are homeless and hungry in our city today. We give thanks for the generous hospitality offered this afternoon at the In The Garden, and pray for the Holy Spirit’s abundant grace in our fellowship.
