Annual Giving Update

As of January 8, we have received 75 pledges for 2013—including 8 new pledgers.  This is 78% of the total number of pledges (96) received for 2012.  We certainly expect more pledges to arrive in the next weeks and encourage anyone who has not made their pledge to do so as soon as possible.  The current total received is $187,476.  Last year’s total was $232,013.   There was an error in last week's reporting of the total amount pledged thus far. The amount reported here is accurate.

holey socksPLEASE REMEMBER THOSE IN NEED:

CANDLES - NEW AND USED - ARE ALWAYS IN NEED

Please don't forget our neighbors on the street. New dry socks are essential for this time of year. We have many weekday requests for snacks and canned self-opening food items as well. Remember to save hotel toiletries from your travels this summer. All donations are greatly appreciated.

A Year to Collect Valuables

It’s never too early to make donations for next spring’s German Village Valuables sale.  Items can be dropped off at the Church or contact Kent Phillips or Bill Bronson for pickup details.

Partners In Ministry In Liberia, P.I.M.I.L.,is an organization founded by Mother Abby Flemister to help with the education of young Liberians after Liberia's thirteen year civil which resulted in much poverty. Your donation/sponsorship of a student, all grades including college, can be an agent for positive change. As a retired nurse I was interested in supporting the education of a student nurse; and was excited when she graduated in 2012 and obtained a job in pediatrics. You can help by contacting P.I.M.I.L. at St. Matthew's Episcopal Church, 233 S. State Street, Westerville, OH 43081; 614- 882-2706; www.pimil.org. For those who already sponsor a student the second semester is starting soon in February, 2013, and thank you.

flowersAltar Decoration Memorials

An album of altar decoration has begun online. Click this photo to see more.

Blankets and Winter Coats needed for CRIS

Among local community-based organizations, CRIS is the largest agency providing services to immigrants in Central Ohio – and is the agency providing the most extensive services to immigrant populations in our area. Those services include immigration legal services and interpretation and translation.
