THIS WEEK WE REMEMBER IN PRAYER:We pray for all who are sick or suffering at this time –Debbie Smith, Seldon Dotson, Elijah Todd, Phyllis Gill, Michael McKinley, Zane Burchfield, Bascil Wines, Sr. Priscilla, Bill Warren, John Johnson, Emma Parey, Bob Park, Joanne Giroux, and others whom we name silently or aloud.
We pray for Captain Andrew Saik, Capt. Brian Smith, Marcus Hill, Jordan Sellman, Ted Abad, Private Dan Williamson, Matt Schumann, Commander Scott Whaley, Specialist Michael A. Martin, Gunnery Sergeant Robert A Griffith Jr.
We remember all who work for peace around the world, especially in Lebanon, Egypt, Syria, Iran, Israel and Afghanistan.
Almighty God, to whom we must account for all our powers and privileges: Guide the people of the United States (or of this community) in the election of officials and representatives; that, by faithful administration and wise laws, the rights of all may be protected and our nation be enabled to fulfill your purposes; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen
And we still our hearts and turn our prayers today to the poorest and the most easily forgotten in our midst . . . praying especially for all who will visit Trinity this afternoon and worship at In The Garden, and the many in need of food and lodging. We ask for vision to see the needs of our neighbors, hear the cries of the poor, and respond with courage and with love.
