Thanksgiving Eve Service—

Wednesday, November 27, 6:30 p.m.
Please join us on the Eve of Thanksgiving as we join with friends in Christ from Old Trinity Lutheran and Trinity Episcopal for a service of Holy Communion.  This is a great opportunity for us to give thanks for God's goodness in sustaining all of creation and for the blessings of our bounty during this Song of the Saints & Kingdom-tide Season. The Rev. Brian K. Shaffer, Deacon from Trinity Episcopal with be Preaching and the Rev. Charles Peterson, Pastor from Old Trinity Lutheran will be Presiding.  The service will be held at Old Trinity Lutheran Church located at 405 S. South Third Street.

Advent Wreath Making Workshop/Party—

Get ready to "wait for the Lord" by making an Advent wreath with your fellow Trinity parishioners on Nov. 24! Register with a member of the Parish Life team by Nov. 17 or email to be sure your family will be a part of the fun! Cost is $10 per wreath and includes all materials.

Help decorate the church (inside and out) for the Advent season.  All hands are needed to assist in transforming our beautiful church into an even more celebratory  space for the upcoming holiday season.

Disposable Diapers are always in need

Please don't forget our neighbors on the street. Candles, diapers, and new dry socks are essential for this time of year. We have many weekday requests for snacks and canned self-opening food items as well. Remember to save hotel toiletries from your travels. All donations are greatly appreciated.

Conversations with an Episcopal Missionary to Portlandia: 
Karen Ward and Neo-Church Expression

Wednesday, November 20th beginning at 6 pm.
Join Karen Ward and St Matthews Episcopal Church in Westerville Ohio for a shared meal, evening prayer, and conversation at the pub reflecting on new models of being church.
Karen Ward is an Episcopal priest and founding Vicar of Church of the Apostles, Seattle (among the first emerging/Fresh Expressions mission congregations started in the Episcopal Church). Karen is a co-founder and Director of Episcopal Village, ‘a mission initiative, network and community, curating mission events, clergy conferences and ‘Missio’ courses for dioceses within TEC and the Anglican Church in Canada. Karen was last in Southern Ohio as the keynote speaker for the Missio Conference in 2011 at Christ Church Cathedral. She is currently serving as priest and missioner at St. Andrew’s and All Souls in Portland and is the founder of ‘Portland Abbey Arts’ a new, non religious arts initiative in north Portland.
The evening will include:
Common Meal at 6 pm at Central College (905 South Sunbury Rd., Westerville)
Monastic Vespers at 7 pm at Central College
Pub Gathering at 8:30 at Jimmy V’s Grill and Pub

We pray for all who are sick or suffering at this time – Madeleine Trichel, Dale Deubler, Amelia Lewis, Jenny Treasure, Marjorie Dotson, Debbie McKinney, Norma Fluhrer, Madeline Wohl, Pauline Austin, Patricia Caldwell, Debbie Smith, Elijah Todd, Michael McKinley, Bob Park  and others whom we name silently or aloud.
We pray for Petty Officer Kristy Sizemore, Cynthia Epler, Jordan Sellman, Matt Schumann, Commander Scott Whaley, Gunnery Sergeant Robert A Griffith Jr., and all who serve our country.
We remember all who work for peace around the world, especially in Syria, Egypt, Israel and the Palestinian communities, and Afghanistan.
We renew our commitments to serve the poorest in our midst and remember all who are homeless and hungry in our city today.  We give thanks for the generous hospitality offered this afternoon at the In The Garden, and pray for the Holy Spirit’s abundant grace in our fellowship.
