All are invited to come share prayer, song and fellowship as we remember a long-time member of our parish community. A reception will follow the service sponsored by the St. Margaret's Guild Pastoral Care Circle, who ask that those who able please bring a plate of cookies to share.

Obituary is available here.

You are cordially invited to a Choral Evensong. April 20, 8:00 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Seminary.  The Seminary Choir will sing Haydn’s Mass in B-Flat (Theresienmesse) within the service of Evening Prayer.  Bob Saik (Trinity Church’s seminarian) is a member of the seminary choir.

Trinity Seminary Choir Chamber Orchestra & Soloists:  Shanay Johnson, soprano; Jennifer Whitehead, soprano; Heather Darling, mezzo; Matthew Pittman, tenor; Richard Paul, bass; Carol Ann Bradley, organ; May Schwarz, director.

If you want to be in on some of the preliminary sharing of information about this year’s issues, you are also welcome to attend the BREAD Rally, Monday, April 16 - 7 PM, Congregation Tifereth Israel, 1354 E. Broad St., Columbus 43205.

This year BREAD is tackling tough social issues—jobs, health care, and juvenile crime.  You might think that you have a job, have insurance and great access to health care and that your neighborhood is not affected by juvenile crime.
Many congregations expect their members to attend in full force, in numbers equal to an average service attendance!  Will you be part of the numbers when Trinity is counted? Plan to attend now.  Bring a careful of people with you!  Come and find out what you have been missing!
Nehemiah Action will be held at the Celeste Center at the State Fairgrounds on Monday, May 7.  BREAD will tackle jobs, health care, and juvenile crime at this critical meeting. Registration begins at 6:15 p.m.
You can find out more, pick up a flyer at Church or call Dale Deubler, 291-0055

Make a difference! Attend!!

Please don't forget our neighbors on the street. New dry socks are essential for this time of year. We have many weekday requests for snacks and canned self-opening food items as well. All donations are greatly appreciated.

Restoring lives through Eastertide chocolate:

In the joy of Easter, you can restore lives all over Southern Ohio through supporting ECSF's upcoming Chocolate Fest. All proceeds of this blissful Eastertide event go into community ministry grants to Episcopal churches in this diocese. Here are two recent examples of the many lives restored:
• The man who emerged from poverty through mentoring at Partners in Hope in Troy, and developed the new Hope Blend for a local café, with the proceeds benefitting to the great ministries at Partners in Hope.
• The young mother in Piqua who gave up drugs, turned her life over to Christ, and is now striving to support her children through a legitimate job as a nurse’s aide. Donations to ECSF help the St. James Pantry to provide her family food so she can use her $9/hr wages to meet $600 a month in rent.
Here’s how YOU can restore lives: Make an online contribution to ECSF at Or come to Chocolate Fest April 21 from 2-4 at beautiful Trinity Church at 76 E. Main Street in Newark, Ohio, where the ECW are preparing an awesome party!
For only $10 (order tickets at ECSF’s website or just come) you can taste all of the scrumptious recipes being prepared by holy bakers (most from Central Ohio, go team!), see the great auction items, and have a heavenly time.

Do Good. Eat Chocolate!

The Durufle Requiem will be on the Columbus Symphony/Chorus 'French Feast' program with conductor Jean-Marie Zeitouni, Fri-Sat. May 4-5, Ohio Theater, 8 PM.

Also on the program are Debussy 'Prelude to the Afternoon of a Faun', Faure 'Pavane', Chausson 'Poem of Love and the Sea', and Ravel Suite No. 2 from 'Daphnis and Chloe'. Tickets from Columbus Symphony ticket office at 614-228-8600 or web
Ohio Theater pre-concert program talk by Christopher Purdy of WOSA-FM classical radio at 7 PM.

Altar Decoration Memorials

If you would like to place a flower memorial or thanksgiving in the Sunday bulletin, you can now sign up online here, or contact Diane Donato in the Parish Office via email or at 221-5351.  A donation of $50 is suggested, but any reasonable amount will be accepted.  Only a few dates are spoken for currently.

We pray for all who are sick or suffering at this time – Chiseko Hamisi, John Johnson, Robert Milbery, Andrew Sapp, Emma Parey, The Rev. Gene MacDowell, Bob & Jodi Park, Carrie Stowers,  Joanne Giroux, and others whom we name silently or aloud.
We pray for Commander Andrew Saik, Capt. Brian Smith, Jordan Sellman, Ted Abad, Private Dan Williamson, Cynthia Epler, Matt Schumann, Commander Scott Whaley, Specialist Michael A. Martin, Staff Sgt. Robert A Griffith Jr., Mike Lashutka.
We remember all who work for peace around the world, especially in Syria, Iran and Israel, Afghanistan, Pakistan and South Sudan.
And we still our hearts and turn our prayers today to the poorest and the most easily forgotten in our midst . . . praying especially for all who will visit Trinity this afternoon and worship at In The Garden, and the many in need of food and lodging.  We ask for vision to see the needs of our neighbors, hear the cries of the poor, and respond with courage and with love.
