Trinity Welcomes Deacon Brian Shaffer
Bishop Breidenthal has appointed a new deacon to Trinity Church! The Rev. Brian K. Shaffer was ordained as a Deacon in The Evangelical Anglican Church in America in 1997, and his orders were received into The Episcopal Church and Diocese of Southern Ohio on April 9, 2013. Deacons are ordained people who represent Christ and his Church in the world, particularly as a servant of those in need, and to assist bishops and priests during public worship in the proclamation of the Gospel and the administration of the sacraments. Brian Shaffer found his home to the Episcopal Church through the parish church of St. James Episcopal Church in Clintonville, Ohio.
Be sure to greet Deacon Brian following our worship this Sunday!
