Spring planting in the Trinity Gardenwill be Saturday, May 12, starting at 9:00 am. We will plant impatiens and the Shirley Wootten Memorial Geraniums, and clean up the garden for summer. This is a wonderful opportunity for kids with service requirements, and a chance for all who love digging in the dirt to offer service to Trinity. Bring gloves; tools will be provided.
The Lay Weeders are also planning a plant sale on May 19, in conjunction with the German Village Garage Sale, to benefit Trinity. If you have plants to offer for the sale, please contact Pat Rugola.
Speaking of the German Village Garage Sale:On Saturday, May 19, Trinity again will be setting up shop in front of the Duryee’s home on City Park. If you have anything to donate for the sale, please drop it off anytime before May 19. Simply bring the items to church and Sexton Tom Belcher will be happy to collect them from you.
Bill Bronson is coordinating the sale this year and is asking for volunteers to assist with the sale from 7:00 a.m. through 1:00 p.m. on Saturday the 19th. Please contact Bill in church or at 354-3753.
PLEASE REMEMBER THOSE IN NEED:
CANDLES - NEW AND USED - ARE ALWAYS IN NEEDPlease don't forget our neighbors on the street. New dry socks are essential for this time of year. We have many weekday requests for snacks and canned self-opening food items as well. All donations are greatly appreciated.

THIS WEEK WE REMEMBER IN PRAYER:We pray for all who are sick or suffering at this time – Chiseko Hamisi, John Johnson, Robert Milbery, Emma Parey, The Rev. Gene MacDowell, Bob & Jodi Park, Carrie Stowers, Joanne Giroux, and others whom we name silently or aloud.
We pray for Captain Andrew Saik, Capt. Brian Smith, Marcus Hill, Jordan Sellman, Ted Abad, Private Dan Williamson, Cynthia Epler, Matt Schumann, Commander Scott Whaley, Specialist Michael A. Martin, Staff Sgt. Robert A Griffith Jr.
We remember all who work for peace around the world, especially in Iraq, Egypt, Syria, Iran and Israel, Afghanistan, Pakistan and South Sudan.
And we still our hearts and turn our prayers today to the poorest and the most easily forgotten in our midst . . . praying especially for all who will visit Trinity this afternoon and worship at In The Garden, and the many in need of food and lodging. We ask for vision to see the needs of our neighbors, hear the cries of the poor, and respond with courage and with love.
