Saturday Docent Program:

During the summer months the streets around Trinity are filled with visitors to our city, many of whom would like to take a look inside our beautiful church. We will be opening our doors on Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. from June 16 through July 28 (except July 7's trip to General Convention). If you would be interested in serving as a docent one of those days please contact Kent Phillips here for details. Or speak to Kent in church on Sunday.

Almighty and everliving God, source of all wisdom and understanding, be present with those who take counsel in Indianapolis for the renewal and mission of your Church. omosebiThis month we welcome
The Rt. Rev. Dr. Benjamin Omosebi of Nigeria.

Bishop Benjamin will preside and preach on Sundays, July 8 and 15 in Trinity Church.
Born in Nigeria, Bishop Omosebi came to the United States in 1996 through an invitation of Bishop Herbert Thompson, Jr., then Bishop of Southern Ohio.  He served as visiting bishop and resident missionary.  This time in Ohio served as a refuge from life-threatening episodes Bishop Omosebi and his family suffered when he was bishop of Kano, Nigeria.  Earlier in his career, Benjamin Omosebi studied in the U.S., completing post-graduate work at Virginia Theological Seminary and Claremont School of Theology in California during the 1980’s.  He has served congregations in Washington DC, Alexandria, VA, and Pasadena, CA. Bishop Benjamin currently resides in West Chester, Ohio with his family.

finding time
As Trinity's contribution to the Columbus Bicentennial celebration and the Finding Time Columbus Public Art 2012, each month this year our bells play newly commissioned pieces of music. On Tuesday, July 17 the pieces written for the first 6 months will be performed live at noon. All are welcome to attend.

ecsfThree rides, one goal: Cycle to Break the Cycle: Sign up to ride or sponsor a rider for ECSF's Bike Fest, your choice of three great bike rides Aug. 17-18. These pedal-powered mission trips will raise money for community ministry grants to churches throughout the diocese. A great choice for outreach committees and youth groups, the Columbus Urban Treasures ride stops for lore and refreshments at ten urban ministries, concluding with supper, social and raffle at St. Alban's. The Cincinnati Eastside Eden ride is your choice of distance along the Little Miami bike trail, with way stations where you can collect lore and snacks, before ending at St. Thomas for a cookout with live music by Robinson Circus. Veteran bikers: consider the two-day Tour d'Ohio from Procter to Cincinnati and back. Led by the Rev. Steve Smith and Chris Tokarz, this follows some of Ohio's loveliest bike trails with free lodging at Church of the Redeemer. Everything you need to sign up or sponsor a rider is on ECSF's website at or call ECSF at 513-221-0547. A brochure can be found here.
