Disposable Diapers are always in need

Please don't forget our neighbors on the street. Candles, diapers, and new dry socks are essential for this time of year. We have many weekday requests for snacks and canned self-opening food items as well. Remember to save hotel toiletries from your travels. All donations are greatly appreciated.

Deacon Brian's Farewell Party -
We're going to miss him so much that we want to say goodbye twice!
There will be two opportunities to wish Deacon Brian all the best in his future endeavors. The first will be Saturday, August 16, at 7:00 PM at Bexley House which is located at 583 Sheridan Ave. in Bexley on the grounds of TLS / Bexley Hall Seminary / Capital University (you may park in the seminary lot across the street if the street parking is all taken up).  Donations of finger foods & beverages would be greatly appreciated.  Set-up is at 6:30 PM if you're bringing food.  The second party will be an extended coffee hour after the 9:30 AM service on Sunday, August 17.  We are taking a collection for a gift.  If you would like to contribute, please mark as "gift for Deacon Brian" and place in the collection plate or send in to the parish house office no later than Tuesday, August 12.

Trinity’s new working group on behalf of persecuted Christians is looking for a videographer and for someone with strong social media skills. To volunteer, contact Pat Rugola, 267-6662,

We pray for all who are sick or suffering at this time –Betty Staub, B. J. Artrup, Walter Olmstead, Darryl Gless, Sharon Whaley,  John Brewster, Jenny Treasure, Amelia Lewis, Heather and Jason Bailey, Deb McHugh,  Jon Nusbaum, Carol Burns, The Rev. Elizabeth Lilly, Marjorie Dotson, Hal Duryee, Michael McKinley, Bob Park and others whom we name silently or aloud.
We pray for Petty Officer Kristy Sizemore, Cynthia Epler, Jordan Sellman, Matt Schumann, Commander Scott Whaley, Gunnery Sergeant Robert A Griffith Jr., and all who serve our country.
We remember all who work for peace around the world, especially in the Middle East and the Ukraine.  We pray for those suffering with the Ebola Virus in Liberia and the greater region.
We pray for all Christians throughout the world who are persecuted on account of their faith and especially for those Christians at St. George and St. Abraam Coptic Orthodox Church in Cairo, Egypt.
Lord Jesus Christ, beloved son of God, whose parents fled with you across the border of a foreign land where you might live, we pray to you for the immigrant children.  Give consolation to those who are in detention centers awaiting their future.  Give hope to their families beyond the borders, as they wait for news of the destiny of their children.  Inspire legislative leaders to develop wise and clear policies in the midst of a complex reality.  And teach us to follow your example of caring for the neighbor in concrete forms, as you did with the persons most vulnerable among us.  All this we ask, because of your great love.  Amen.
We renew our commitments to serve the poorest in our midst and remember all who are homeless and hungry in our city today.  We give thanks for the generous hospitality offered this afternoon at In The Garden, and pray for the Holy Spirit’s abundant grace in our fellowship.
