Sunday, August 14—10:00 a.m.
Please note the special 10:00 a.m. service time, planned to make the picnic nearer to lunch time.
Schiller Park Rec Center at the corner of Deshler Ave. and Jaeger St. in German Village
Please bring lawn chairs and dress comfortably
This WeekPotluck Parish Picnic to follow in the Rec Center.
Please bring a dish to share.
Suggested dishes:  If your last name begins with
  • A-G bring a salad or side dish
  • H-R bring an entrée
  • S-Z bring a desert
The Parish Life Ministry Team will provide paper products and beverages.

August Challenge:  A Kitchen Basket
September Challenge:  A Food Basket
Trinity’s Church School Children and our Community Ministry Team are asking for your help to fill some of the needs of families who have recently newly immigrated to our city.
CRIS request 4 categories of baskets—Kitchen, Bath, Bedroom, Food. We will focus on Kitchen in August and create a food basket in September.
We will be collecting these items for the KITCHEN BASKET on August 14 at Mass in the Grass. New or gently used items are welcome. If you care to make a cash donation for items to help fill the basket, please talk with Jori McDevitt at coffee hour Sunday.

Altar Decoration Memorials

If you would like to place a flower memorial or thanksgiving in the Sunday bulletin, please contact Diane Donato in the Parish Office via email or at 221-5351.  A donation of $50 is suggested, but any reasonable amount will be accepted.  Only a few dates are spoken for currently.

Also, if you do not receive birthday and anniversary cards from the Rector, please update your information in Diane's members' database.  Simply email her your information.

5:30 pm - 10:00 pm
Join Trinity friends (age 21 and over) to enjoy a lovely evening of entertainment, art and gardens at the Franklin Park Conservatory's "Cocktails at the Conservatory." Included are featured cocktails or full bar selection along with small plate hors d'oeuvres in the Conservatory's Atrium or John F. Wolfe Palm House. Of course,  non-alcoholic selections are also available.  Any current exhibition, The Chihuly Collection, James Turrell's Light Raiment II installation will be on view. Arrive and depart at the time of your choosing.

Admission is $11 per person and in return each guest is given $10 worth of beverage hors d'oeuvres tokens.  Parking is free.  Visit www.fpconservatory.org for more information.

Please don't forget our neighbors on the street. New dry socks are essential for this time of year. We have many weekday requests for snacks and canned self-opening food items as well. All donations are greatly appreciated.
